Provável escalação do Bétis
Getafe

Tottenham transfer target Ezri Konsa ‘sparks tug-of-war between England and Portugal’ after impressing for Aston Villa
ENGLAND could be set for a ‘tug-of-war’ with Portugal for Ezri Konsa.
The 23-year-old defender has shone for in-form Aston Villa to help them up to eighth in the Premier League.
The East London-born star’s performances have now begun to catch the eye of top-flight rivals.
Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham have emerged as a potential club ready to test the waters by launching a summer move for him.
However, his displays have not only been noticed by fellow Prem bosses.
He is now being talked about for international recognition after helping Villa to record nine clean sheets in his 20 league appearances.
His defensive partner Tyrone Mings has already become an England international under Gareth Southgate.
He is well-known to the FA already having been part of the Three Lions’ 2017 Under-20 World Cup-winning squad and he has also been capped at U21 level.
He is also eligible for a number of other nations, including DR Congo and Angola.
But The Athletic claims they have ‘learned he would also be eligible to turn out for Portugal’ and that they ‘are following him closely’ ahead of this summer’s European Championship.
Most read in Football
With both nations involved in international action next month, Konsa could have a decision to make over his international future sooner rather than later.
He moved to Villa from Brentford in a £12m deal back in 2019 and is under contract until 2023.
Liverpool are one of the clubs believed to be monitoring his progress as they look to bolster their backline.
But it is Tottenham who are said to be leading any potential chase for his services according to the latest reports.

Porto vs Juventus: Match details

Betting prediction: Porto 1-2 Juventus
Two sides with similar domestic stories come to grips with one another in Portugal, with both Juventus and Porto having the unfortunate luck of trying to catch two red-hot domestic rivals. Both have strong European pedigree, with attacking cores that are both quite capable on their day. Juventus have the ace in the hole that is Cristiano Ronaldo however, and his track record of performing in the competition should help a good Juventus pip a strong opponent.
Porto vs Juventus: Recommended bets
At the moment, there are really only two main goal threats for Juventus; Cristiano Ronaldo, and Alvaro Morata. Though the Spanish international is the club leading goal-scorer in Champions League this term (six goals in six appearances) and joint-top scorer, Ronaldo is arguably the competition’s greatest player as well as the all-time leading scorer. His penchant for banging in the goals in Europe puts him in with a good chance at a brace should Juve be firing on all cylinders on Wednesday.
It isn’t often that a central midfielder is your most potent goal threat on multiple competition fronts, but Porto’s Sérgio Oliveira is just that for Porto. The Portuguese international is the clubs’ joint-top scorer in Liga NOS, while also having the best goal return in Champions League this term. With the threat that the likes of Mehdi Taremi and Moussa Marega bring to the table, a sneaky Oliveira goal could be on.

Porto vs Juventus: Match preview
Many in the northwest of Portugal will be hopeful if not disappointed this term regarding giants Porto. Sitting ten points adrift from undefeated domestic rivals Sporting CP in Liga NOS, any other season on the homefront would likely see Dragões topping the table. Suffering defeat just twice in the league while averaging over two goals per match, Porto remains a competent and considerable opponent to negotiate in Europe.
In Champions League this term, Porto’s performances at home mirrored their exploits against continental opposition. Other than their 3-1 loss to Manchester City on matchday one, Porto’s backline did not surrender a single goal to their opposition and went on to post four wins and one draw for the remainder of play in Group C. But their current domestic form could signal a side that may struggle against a club like Juventus, whose options available to Andrea Pirlo remain incredibly potent.
Four draws in their last six Liga NOS outings could be a cause for concern, while goals were harder to come by against Farense (1-0 win) and Rio Ave (2-0 win) in the two wins they did post during the same period. Competition leading goal-scorer Sérgio Oliveira remains one of the bigger attacking threats that manager Sérgio Conceição, though center-forward pair Moussa Marega and Mehdi Taremi may be able to replicate some of their domestic form of Porto are on it Wednesday.

Cristiano Ronaldo remains the unquestionable key for Juventus in Europe
It is not every day that Italian giants Juventus sit fourth in Serie A, eight points adrift of table-topping Inter Milan. The same can be said for a Juve-side that are well off the pace for goals scored in the league (6th), while also having to constantly look over their shoulder just below them at SSC Napoli, Atalanta Bergamo, and SS Lazio, all of whom are just two points off La Vecchia Signora.
With their direct domestic rivals all keeping pace – or outpacing – Andrea Pirlo’s men, a successful Champions League campaign could alleviate the pressure surrounding a domestic campaign that at current will certainly be viewed as not good enough. Recent losses against both Inter and Napoli in the league only serve as a further testament that many in Piedmont could end up disappointed on all fronts for the first time in ten seasons. Perhaps there is no better time for the Bianconeri to reach their first Champions League final since Real Madrid’s 4-1 demolition of them in Cardiff back in 2016-17. The goal-scoring hero on that day? None other than Cristiano Ronaldo, the same player who the Juventus faithful will hope has further heroic performances left in him.
Like any side that reaches this stage of the competition, Juventus have more than enough quality to make a serious run to the final, but Ronaldo is synonymous with Champions League nights. The competition’s all-time leading goal scorer and owner of five Champions League winners medals, the Portuguese icon is capable of putting his side on his shoulders arguably better than anyone, especially in this arena. If Juventus is to make a push on the continent, then Ronaldo is the unquestioned key to their chances of reaching the final.

Porto team news vs Juventus
Porto will be without the pair of Zaidu Sanusi and Otavio when they welcome Juventus to Portugal on Wednesday, with manager Sérgio Conceição forced to jiggle with his matchday XI to compensate. Sanusi and Otavio are the only absentees, however.
Juventus team news vs Porto
Both Juan Cuadrado and Arthur will be unavailable for selection through injury, robbing manager Andrea Pirlo of additional valuable options for Juventus’ trip to Porto.
Paulo Dybala and Aaron Ramsey are close to a return, but it is not certain if either will be available for selection in midweek.
It is unclear if Juve will be deployed in a three-at-the-back formation, or if Pirlo will set them up to be more attack-oriented and look to take control of the tie in the first leg. Both options have merit.

Adjuvant Capital, led by Glenn Rockman and Jenny Yip, held the final closing of its first fund in December and expects to make 20 to 25 investments from the pool.
Investors including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have backed a $300 million venture-capital fund seeking to make medical innovations more accessible to people in developing countries.
The Gates Foundation has committed $75 million to the debut fund of New York-based Adjuvant Capital, which said it already has tapped the pool to invest in 14 companies targeting conditions such as rabies, yellow fever, herpes and Covid-19. Adjuvant completed the fundraising in December but hasn’t disclosed it publicly until now, founder.
Adjuvant completed the fundraising in December but hasn’t disclosed it publicly until now, founder and Managing Partner Glenn Rockman said.
In addition to bankrolling treatments for conditions common in the developing world, Adjuvant requires the companies it backs to sign agreements to make their products available and affordable to people in low- and middle-income countries.
Healthcare venture investment is booming, but few U.S. investors focus on diseases affecting poorer countries. By helping companies bring medical treatments to these nations, Adjuvant is betting it can achieve its social mission and deliver investor profits.
Some investors in the Adjuvant fund said they aim to make financial returns, but that helping alleviate global public-health problems is their larger aim.
“The impact that hopefully we can make through the Adjuvant Capital investment is what motivates us,” said Lutz Hegemann, group head of corporate affairs and global health for drugmaker Novartis AG.
“ ‘The impact that hopefully we can make through the Adjuvant Capital investment is what motivates us.’ ”
— Lutz Hegemann, group head of corporate affairs and global health at Novartis
Before founding the firm in 2018, Mr. Rockman co-managed the Global Health Investment Fund, a fund created by the Gates Foundation and JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2012 to invest in healthcare technologies for people in low-income countries.
The fund, which raised $108 million, backed companies such as EuBiologics Co. , a South Korean vaccine developer that went public in 2017. Another, Atomo Diagnostics Ltd. , an Australian developer of point-of-care devices for rapid diagnostic testing, went public in 2020.
Ken Gustavsen, chief of staff and strategy officer for social business innovation for drugmaker Merck & Co., an investor in the Global Health Investment Fund, said the fund has been successful in achieving its social-impact goals and that its financial performance is strong and could improve as more portfolio companies go public or are acquired.
The success of the Global Health Investment Fund led Mr. Rockman to start Adjuvant Capital with a goal of raising a larger vehicle to invest across a broader range of healthcare products. He leads the fund along with Managing Partner Jenny Yip, a former partner of the Gates Foundation’s Strategic Investment Fund, which makes investments to support the foundation’s goals in areas such as global health and development.
Adjuvant set out in 2019 to raise the new fund, Adjuvant Global Health Technology Fund LP, and reached the hard cap, or upper limit, it set for the vehicle, Ms. Yip said. In addition to the Gates Foundation and Novartis, the fund’s backers include Merck, the Ford Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation and several other investors.
In October, Adjuvant made a $25 million investment in Evofem Biosciences Inc., which has developed a nonhormonal contraceptive for women. The contraceptive, approved in the U.S. under the name Phexxi, is a vaginal gel applied before sex. Helping women to only get pregnant by choice is a significant lever for eliminating poverty, said Evofem President and Chief Executive Saundra Pelletier.
MORE ON VENTURE CAPITAL
Evofem aims to bring the product to three to five new countries a year for the next five years starting in 2022, and is considering which countries to target first, she said. Evofem, which also is conducting clinical studies to test Phexxi’s ability to prevent the sexually transmitted infections chlamydia and gonorrhea, will have tiered pricing so that the product is affordable in less-wealthy countries, she said. The company is considering various ways to lower its costs to enable that goal, including exploring a means of applying the contraceptive without an applicator, Ms. Pelletier said.
Requiring portfolio companies to sign access agreements could be a challenge for Adjuvant as it seeks to get into hotly contested fundraising rounds, said Natalie Revelle, whose roles at the Gates Foundation include leading structured financing investments within the Strategic Investment Fund team.
Still, the Adjuvant team has shown it can make investments in promising companies, Ms. Revelle said.
Adjuvant, which expects to make a total of 20 to 25 investments from the fund, often gets questions about whether its access requirements will harm companies’ ability to raise additional capital later, Mr. Rockman said. But he added that Adjuvant helps portfolio companies reach markets in developing countries, providing guidance on issues such as securing grant funding.
“It’s never prevented us from realizing great outcomes,” Mr. Rockman said.
One company that raised capital from both Global Health Investment Fund and Adjuvant Capital, Austrian vaccines and immunotherapy company Themis Bioscience GmbH, was acquired by Merck in 2020.
When negotiating investments, the firm evaluates whether a company’s vision aligns with Adjuvant’s, said Ms. Yip, adding that Adjuvant hasn’t had trouble with companies failing to live up to their commitments.
