O clube sempre utilizou das principais redes sociais como Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, entre outras para produzir seu conteúdo que, somados, já ultrapassam mais de 350 milhões de seguidores. Agora, o Barça dá um novo passo dentro de sua estratégia.

Para completar esse belo trabalho que vem sendo executado, o clube lançou em julho do ano passado o Barça Studios. Através de uma nova funcionalidade na rede social chamado de “Fan Subscription”, o Barcelona foi escolhido pelo Facebook para iniciar o serviço de assinaturas que vai oferecer algumas oportunidades aos torcedores.

De acordo com o comunicado oficial, o Barça vai presentear seus assinantes com recompensas especiais e grupos exclusivos, experiências interativas, conteúdos especiais, descontos em produtos e badges virtuais, que dividirá os torcedores por status de engajamento.

O serviço já está em funcionamento no Reino Unido por £2,29 mensais.

Neither Benfica or Arsenal are showing great form in their domestic campaigns making the Europa League campaign extra important. How will the game go? The below table gives a summarised insight into our predictions.

The lack of home advantage hands edge to the Gunners

As already touched on, both Benfica and Arsenal are having awful seasons in comparison to their own lofty ambitions but as they come head-to-head in the last 32 of the Europa League they have the chance to start moving forwards. For Arsenal, their form this season will have come as a surprise given how well they ended last year whilst Benfica fans perhaps should have seen their drop off coming having lost players like Ruben Dias and Carlos Vinicius in the summer.

In respect of the usually domestically dominant Benfica, they find themselves well off the pace in fourth position and some 13 points off the top. Despite that aforementioned loss of Dias, they do still boast a strong defence with just 17 goals conceded in 19 league matches. A large part of that solid backbone is the ageing pair of former Premier League centre backs in Nicolas Otamendi, who Mikel Arteta will know well from his time at Man City, and former Tottenham man Jan Vertonghen. It's fair to say the challenge awaiting those two is going to be slightly tougher than what they're used to in Portugal.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, who has struggled for form this season, is fresh off the back of a hat-trick so will arrive in high spirits; although pre-match talk has centred around his off the pitch conduct. Other attacking players who could well feature include Willian and Nicolas Pepe; the latter has six goal contributions to his name from the group phase. That duo of wide men could have big roles to play with Benfica's only real injury of note Gilberto, who happens to be their first choice right back. All that said, Benfica will feel they can trouble the Arsenal defence as well with the Gunners far from water tight.

One huge factor we've not yet touched on though is the neutral ground. A trip to Benfica is normally a very tough day at the office with the Portuguese club boasting a tremendous record in European competitions. Thankfully for Arsenal, they don't have to contend with that hostile atmosphere.

Will it all boil down to the team that takes their chances?

Before we get into the meat of our tips, let's just have another look at what predictions we made:

Over 3.5 goals

Predicting a goalfest when Benfica's league form shows them to concede just 0.9 goals per game and Arsenal sit just over the 1 mark might sound crazy but bear with us. Benfica are rarely up against the attacking quality Arteta's men have. In Otamendi and Vertonghen, you have two experienced heads that lack pace. By contrast, Arsenal's side now has youth, pace and, when things click, the ability to score at will. Arsenal will be full of confidence after their last game and keen to make a quick start. If they score first, Benfica will be forced to open up a little bit and that could leave space in behind. If that happens the centre backs could be in for a horrid time.

Darwin Nunez to score anytime

A lot of this reasoning will feed the prior tip we mentioned also but, we wanted to keep the blurb separate. Yes, Arsenal can hurt Benfica. Don't get confused though. Benfica have tidy players at the top end of the field as well. The pick of the bunch though is Nunez. The 21-year-old Uruguayan only joined Benfica in September but after notching 12 goals and laying on nine assists in his first 30 appearances in Europe he's already attracting interest from the big five leagues. With players like Haris Seferovic and Pizzi, who have had a hand in 29 goals between them this season, to play off he'll fancy his chances against Arsenal's defence. The lad knows where the net is.

Arsenal to win

In normal circumstances, an ‘away' match against Benfica would be a much tougher ask for Arsenal. The difference in quality is there for all to see when comparing 11 versus 11 with the deciding factors down to mentality. When you begin to throw in things like Benfica's poor form, Arsenal riding the wave of a good performance against Leeds and the absence of fans then the scales tilt in Arsenal's favour. If the Gunners are at it and score early, they could get the tie sewn up.

It hasn’t been the season many were expecting at Benfica.

After letting the Portuguese title slip through their fingers last season, Aguias re-appointed a fan-favourite manager in the summer, with Jorge Jesus returning to his native Portugal after an incredibly successful season at Flamengo that saw them win the Copa Libertadores and Brazil's Serie A.

His arrival was deemed a great bit of business, and Jesus was backed in the summer, as the club invested money from the sale of Ruben Dias in some experienced pro’s (Jan Vertonghen, Nicolas Otamendi) and some talented younger players (Darwin Nunez, Everton, Perinho), but the pressure is piling on the red half of Lisbon.

After failing to qualify for the Champions League proper, getting knocked out by PAOK, Benfica finished second in their Europa League group and domestic form has led to them slipping to fourth in the Primeira Liga, sitting 13 points behind archrivals Sporting Lisbon.

All of this means that this competition could prove to be their last opportunity to salvage a disappointing season, a similar position in which Arsenal find themselves in.

Jorge Jesus’s side have kept just two clean sheets in their last six games, and three in nine, so are defensively vulnerable, and that vulnerability was on full display in their Europa League group.

Benfica conceded nine times in their six games, and it is fair to say that Group D was hardly filled with European big-hitters, though they finished the group unbeaten.

While they may be gettable at the back, they sure do pack a punch in attack. They have averaged 2.33 expected goals for (xGF) per game in the Europa League so far, and domestically they rank as the second-best attacking team.

They should cause issues for Arsenal, but in an open game, it is likely that they will also allow plenty of opportunities.

There will be no home field advantage in this tie whatsoever, with both legs being played at neutral venues – this one in Rome at the Stadio Olimpico.

So, Arsenal make the relatively short trip to Italy for this game, and they will be on a high after one of their best attacking displays of the season according to expected goals.

They looked fluid against Leeds last Sunday, progressing through the lines well while also playing at speed in and around the box. Similar here would likely lead to another good display - and more goals.

Attack has been an area of struggle all season long for Mikel Arteta’s side, with the Gunners ranking in the bottom half of the Premier League based on xGF per game (1.42), but there are signs that a formula may have been found.

Over their last 10 league games Arsenal have averaged 1.67 xGF per game. In that time, only Manchester City (2.48), Manchester United (1.89), West Ham (1.78) and Liverpool (1.72) have posted better attacking numbers. The Gunners are improving.

And, given their league position of 10th – some eight points off the top four – I suspect they will be playing a strong team in this competition moving forward, with it looking like their only route to Champions League football.

They were drawn in a very easy group, and they steamrolled their way through it with minimal fuss, even when deploying weakened starting XI’s.

We can’t learn much from that when assessing this game, but while I think Arsenal are fair favourites to win the first leg, my favourite betting angle for the game in Rome is in the goals markets.

Given Benfica’s strong attack and Arsenal’s improving attacking process, as well as the vulnerabilities both teams possess defensively, I think we could be in for a goal-laden first leg.

BTTS AND OVER 2.5 GOALS makes great appeal given that I expect this game to be wide open, and can be backed at evens with Sky Bet.

A player who appears to be back in form is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who helped himself to a hat-trick at the weekend.

It is no coincidence that, when Arsenal’s attacking process improves, Aubameyang starts scoring. It’s simple, if the team isn’t creating chances, the striker isn’t going to score goals.

All those earlier in the season using Aubameyang’s new contract as the reason why his form dropped off were wrong. Aubameyang was just part of a poor attacking system that wasn't clicking.

For context, the Gabonese forward has played 20 games in the Premier League this season. In his first 10 games of the season he had gotten on the end of chances equating to 2.3 xG and was averaging 0.23 xG/95 (scored twice).

In the 10 games since, as Arsenal’s creative process has improved, Aubameyang has been on the end of chances worth 5.5 xG and averaged 0.63 xG/95 (scored seven). He wasn’t the problem; Arsenal’s attacking patterns were.

The club captain is now benefitting from a more attack-minded game plan, and from playing with more creative players, and given he is seeing plenty more good chances per game, he looks overpriced at 7/5 with Betfair to score anytime here.

I would back this line down to 11/10, though if for some reason he doesn’t start the game, cash it out and maybe look to get on at a bigger price with smaller stakes if he is introduced later on.

O meio campo da Juve apresenta falta de criação de jogadas e deixa a desejar ao passar o circulo central, por outro lado seus jogadores quando partem para jogadas individuais ou rápidas com tabelas entre si, tem conseguido penetrar nas defesas adversárias.

Acredito que a Juventus consiga sair de campo com um resultado positivo, podendo ser um empate ou vitória, acredito que a linha do handicap está boa, onde podemos perder metade do investido caso ocorra o empate.

Já conhecido dessa forma na época em que estava na ativa, Rivaldo não esconde que é uma pessoa de opinião forte.

Depois da goleada por 4 a 1 do Paris Saint-Germain sobre o ex-clube do ex-jogador, o Barcelona na última terça-feira, 16, o pentacampeão em 2002 expressou o que sentiu ao ver Lionel Messi sofrer mais uma goleada importante na Champions League.

Em entrevista ao site "Betfair", o ex-jogador acredita que a partida no início da semana, marcou a despedida do camisa 10 argentino em jogos da Liga dos Campeões no Camp Nou. Apesar de querer a sua permanência no clube catalão, Rivaldo afirmou que o time não dá mais ao argentino as mesmas possibilidades de conquistar títulos de peso como antes.

"O Messi deu muito ao Barcelona e vice-versa, no entanto, me parece que este terá sido seu último jogo pela Champions no Camp Nou vestindo a camisa do Barcelona. Se seu futuro passará pelo PSG, ainda é cedo para dizer, porém com a qualidade que o time francês vem demonstrando com certeza ele pode estar olhando para isso como uma boa possibilidade de futuro", disse antes de completar.

Com relação ao placar elástico, o ex-jogador acredita que o Barcelona já está praticamente eliminado da competição europeia, já que será muito difícil reverter a desvantagem de três gols, que ainda não são suficientes para a classificação.

"Honestamente, eu penso que, no momento, nenhum jogador ou treinador do Barcelona acredita que é possível dar a volta por cima e isso ficou evidente nas declarações do (Ronald) Koeman após a partida. Claro que não se pode jogar a toalha , mas nenhum torcedor está confiante nisso após o jogo de ontem (terça) e até existe o risco de nova goleada, então, o time precisa pelo menos se doar para ser mais competitivo na França", concluiu.

Rivaldo ainda comentou sobre a possibilidade de ter Neymar de voltar para o jogo de volta, em março, no Parque dos Príncipes.

Sobre o compatriota, ele deixou claro que a sua "Má fama de chorão" ainda o atrapalham, apesar de ele ter mudado bastante o seu comportamento dentro dos gramados.

"O Neymar perdeu a partida contra o Barcelona por se encontrar novamente machucado após nova pancada no Campeonato Francês. Ele é muito visado pelos adversários e sua má fama de chorão o vem impedindo de ter aquela proteção que os juízes tendem a dar aos jogadores mais talentosos", opinou.

"Mas ele mudou nos últimos anos e hoje não é mais aquele jogador que gosta de cair, então, os árbitros precisam de o proteger já que ele é o tipo de jogador com personalidade que parte com alegria para cima dos adversários, sem medo e por isso se expõe mais a tomar faltas", finalizou.
